On HGTV's "Property Brothers" and its countless spinoffs, Jonathan and Drew Scott sell and renovate houses, and make it look easy, without ever messing up their flawless hairdos. And it turns out it's not just hairspray that keeps things looking perfect — it's a little bit of television magic that makes the show a touch less realistic than you may think. A New York Times article about the Scott brothers depicts the two of them recreating a scene at a house that actually happened the day prior, and doing the same renovation task multiple times in a row.
During filming in Galveston, Texas, a house Drew was renovating had the chimney ripped off it from strong winds. So he showed up the next day to recreate the scene for the "Brother Vs. Brother" spinoff. Crew members pretended to work on the porch, then Drew "looked at the chimney with feigned shock." He told the crew members, "Go inside, guys! I don't want you to work outside; it's too windy!" They ended up filming multiple takes of the dramatic moment. And it's a common occurrence; that same day of filming, Jonathan yanked a toilet out of the floor a few times to get the right shot.
It's not a major shock that HGTV shows aren't perfectly realistic. It's common knowledge among fans thatwhen couples sign up for"House Hunters,"for example, they usually have already closed on a property, so the "choice" is totally false. But the appeal of HGTV shows is really about checking out the houses themselves and being entertained by the personalities on screen, so knowing it's a little staged doesn't take away from the fun.
"At the end of the day, it has to be interesting television," Drew told the New York Times. "But when we find a load-bearing wall, we are really finding a load-bearing wall."

"When I sold my home I interviewed many Companies. Knowing most buyers come from the internet I was looking for a Company with a strong internet presence. I googled some terms like, "Lake Worth Homes For Sale" and "homes for sale in Lake Worth", and almost every time Exit Realty Premier was on the first page of Google. Then when I met with the agent from Exit Realty Premier and saw the HD photographs, aerial photos, on line visual tours and videos and all the technology I was sold. I signed with them and sold my home in record time, for the price I wanted and had a smooth quick closing. My agent was very professional and knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way.
